Residence Hall

Project Description

The 4th Street Residence Hall Project was a student project completed for the seven week project module course, ARCH 5550: Zero+ Design. This project was chosen as it related to a current proposal for a new residence hall on campus. It was intended to follow the program and site requirements as outlined by Capital Planning and Project Management, while placing special emphasis on regenerative design thinking and performance metrics that can help inspire future residence hall designs. This project was completed through a rigorous design investigation using quantitative analysis and precedent research to help inform design decisions that can reduce energy, water, and waste consumption.
